Richard enjoyed listening to a story. He did well answering questions about plot elements. We continue to practice rhyme production, identification of initial, medial and final sounds and phoneme manipulation. Focus was on blends. Richard worked hard on sentence dictation and a fine motor skill activity. Sight and number words were reviewed. Richard enjoyed a timed addition and subtraction game. He also enjoyed using the balance scale. He earned a 100% on an online, math assessment. Richard did well on activities involving shapes online.

Jack completed the Stanford Achievement Test. Given word banks of different parts of a sentence, Jack chose and wrote words to make complete sentences. He enjoyed a sound hunt game where he looked for objects that started with given letters and then wrote the name of the word.

Richard was tasked with drawing a picture and writing about something he did over the weekend. We continue to practice rhyme production, identification of initial, medial and final sounds and phoneme manipulation. He enjoyed a cut and paste activity that involved determining if word pairs were antonyms or synonyms. Richard did well on a cumulative math assessment. We practiced counting to 100 by ones, fives and tens.

We continue to work on blending and fluency when reading. Given two pictures, Richard did very well comparing and contrasting the items. He was encouraged to write slowly when tasked with staying in the lines of a curvy path. Richard wrote the missing letters needed to name given pictures. He completed an assessment on graphing and probability. Richard enjoyed a timed, flashcard game that involved adding and subtracting single digit numbers. Both 2D and solid shapes were reviewed.

Richard enjoyed listening to 'Ground Hog Gets A Say'. Print and plot elements were identified and discussed. Richard worked hard on sentence dictation. We continue to work on letter and word spacing. He confidently and correctly wrote numbers dictated. Richard looked at pictures and read words to determine if the vowel sound was long or short. Given two sets of objects, Richard was tasked with identifying which was more/less likely to be chosen based on the number of items in each set. He did very well on a graphing activity, as well as on a spiral practice of learned math skills. Calendar skills were reviewed. Richard enjoyed working on the concepts of more, less and same, playing a memory game and matching numerals with number words online.

Richard was tasked with choosing the word that named the picture. With help, he read a story entitled, 'The Cow'. Richard did well writing short answers to questions about the text. He worked hard to trace slanted lines. Richard enjoyed playing 'store' in which he bought and sold items using plastic coins. Given sets of two different objects, he did well determining which item he was more/less likely to pull out of a bag based on the number of each object. Richard enjoyed working on math activities online.

Richard enjoyed listening to a fictional story about a dinosaur. Plot and print elements were identified and discussed. Richard wrote about what he would do if he had a pet dinosaur. We continue to practice phoneme identification and manipulation. Given three pictures, Richard did well determining the two that rhymed and then creating another word that rhymed. He worked carefully to stay within a path with his pencil. Richard did well reading sight words and creating graphs. He was introduced to basic probability. Richard learned how to use the number line to add and subtract online.
