2) Discussion Questions: Why is Beli's "history" so significant to the lives of her children Oscar and Lola? What affect do ancestors or family history have on subsequent generations?
3) Identity Politics: Explain the different between an "Essential" and "Performed" Identity. Are all identities arbitrary? Performed? Why/why not? How does Oscar fit into an essentialized notion of Dominican masculinity?

Because Georgia missed geometry this morning, she spent a few minutes taking her geometry test before we began algebra. She received a grade of 97% on the test. She was very attentive today so we were able to get through some information in algebra after the test!
