I looked at students' first drafts and made comments on each. Individual discussions worked well and results were good. Devin and I worked on organizaiton a little more. We determined that he needed to return to brainstorm stage. Ashley had written a great deal but didn't want to share it yet. I did verify that the long paper in front of her was for my class.

All three were well prepared. Sadie clearly has more experience writing papers, so her draft was well prepared. There were several issues with sentence structure. Devin's paper was at an earlier stage. I need to spend 15 minutes working with him alone to gather a few more ideas. Ashley felt strongly about her paper and I think she is really enjoying the intellectual exercise.

Great class. All student turned in study guides. All students actively and effectively participated.
Introduced he imperfect tense of -ar, -er, and -ir verbs. Put the conjugations on the board and students wrote them in their journals. Then they completed text pg. 211 act. 7 together orally to ensure they understood how to conjugate verbs correctly. Then the students completed activity 8 on their own in their journals. They had to write 6 sentences describing what was going on the picture - all sentences must be written in the imperfect tense.

She has been absent, so I haven't seen her in a little bit, and she is going through something right now, so we are starting the review at the beginning so she can take her test hopefully Thursday.

Students read the next chapter, chapter 8 Con Lazarillo, in the spanish reader, "La Gran Aventura de Alejandro" and then completed the exercises that followed.
