For a special touch Loulie added 2 tablespoons of rainbow sprinkles Next, Loulie counted and lined the cupcake pans and used an ice cream scooper to place the batter into the pans. After the cupcakes cooled Loulie handed them out to all of her friends.

Marcos and I baked miniature cupcakes with buttercream frosting. Marcos measured the quantities of flour, sugar and baking soda. He practiced transposing fractions by figuring out, for instance, that he needed three half cups to make one and a half cups of flour.

Using a whisk, Gracyn mixed the eggs, milk, and vanilla before adding to the mixer. She lined the cupcake pans and used an ice cream scooper to place the batter into the pans. While we waited for them to cook, Gracyn mixed powdered sugar and milk together for an icing. Each cupcake was dipped in icing, sprinkled with sprinkles, and handed out to all of her friends.
Today Ben made peppermint candy spoons. He started by crushing up the peppermint candies into small pieces. He then added them to the spoon mold. Next, we baked them for 10 minutes. After the spoons were melted we placed them into the freezer. Ben then made bags of homemade hot chocolate and topped them with a handful of marshmallows. We finished the bags of with a peppermint spoon and directions on how to make the hot chocolate.
