Zeta and I did an oral review of: greetings, days, months, weather, seasons, colors, time, and sentences to describe oneself. Using the textbook and a live clock, I reviewed telling time on the half hour and introduced time on the quarter hour. Zeta did well with telling time on the hour and half hour. We reviewed question words and practiced basic questions: how many days in a week, when is your birthday.

Moving the hands of the clock, Dutch repeated the times on the hour; the half hour; and the quarter hour, after me. He then was able to tell me the times in French on his own. He did very well.

We took advantage of the off and on rain by taking all the weather vocabulary pages and French textbook outside. Dutch pretended to be a TV weather forecaster and created 8 original French sentences regarding the weather at that moment and 6 sentences describing the other student and teacher that had come outside the last 10 minutes. When he had completed the sentences, he took a pretend microphone and read the French sentences.

We spoke about the age and eye color of Dutch's siblings, and close friends. He enjoyed this conversation and voluntarily incorporated his parents description.
