Matthew was given a short time to study his year-long collection of vocabulary.

Ms. Judie came to thank Matthew for the flowers that he and Bella got for her. At that point, we discussed other possible cultural excursions.

He then copied down a bank of sentences in English and Spanish that he may later use to write a thank you letter to the presenter on our trip.

Bella was given time to write a thank you letter in Spanish to be given to the gentleman that presented to us yesterday in Miami.

We first drafted an outline in English.

Then we discussed some of the components that Bella already knew in Spanish. I helped her to express some of the more complicated ideas and taught that information to her.

Bella was to help with trip preparations including creating new language acquisition facilitation guides. We were to continue listening to music with the subjunctive.

Matthew was given time to study for his restaurant test. He reviewed the vocabulary individually. Then, I gave him sample problems that were similar to those on his test.

Matthew then took his test.

He scored very well getting all of the answers correct with exception of one.

We reviewed how to give directions and the verbs Ser and Estar.

We completed some activities practicing the verbs Ser and Estar.

Matthew was to prepare for and take his test. IF he is ever feeling up to it, he may consider studying his train and restaurant vocabulary.

He was absent.

We started with a warm activity of questions for Cabo.

Cabo was then shown verb trees in the the imperfect. We started with a review of the regular -ar, -er/-ir verbs and discussed how habia is technically regular in conjugation but slightly different in application. We reviewed phrases that accompany the imperfect.

We then moved on to irregular verbs such as ver, ir, ser. Cabo was asked to use the verbs in an activity involving conjugations in sentences.

Cabo was focused and behaving well but seemed to lack enthusiasm with the grammar activities today. So, we modified the lesson and switched to a comprehension activity. These activities tend to come to him more naturally. He finished the session with gusto.

Great job, Cabo, staying focused even on the days that require more effort.

Bella and I were to review the test that she recently took and prepare her for the test that must be taken before the end of the semester.
