Today we identified what could be a major deficit in Bella's Spanish knowledge, or merely a misunderstanding.
She said that she is unfamiliar with the terms preterite and imperfect. These tend to be the central focus of Spanish 2 programs.
I started to investigate this claim but was cut short by time constraints.
Bella guided us through our daily review. She was concise and precise.
She then started work on her 55 essential verb project. She created many of the notecards needed for the project.
We then went outside and practiced present regular -ar & -er conjugations while hitting the ping-pong ball.

Bella guided us through a review of the last class.
She was then given notes to copy down from the board. We finished by practicing verb conjugations while hitting a ping-pong ball back and forth.
I then assigned her a project that will help her to a)review past information, b) identify gaps in her Spanish knowledge, c) experience the topics in a new format.
She then had some time to work on the project. She attempted and submitted 3 Spanish quizzes. She did a great job. I told her how she should work on each quiz until she earns a 100%. She was informed of the proper format for submittal.
The project is due Oct. 11th. She should anticipate working for 15 minutes each day on the project until it is completed.
