We then read the remainder of the story.

Marcel worked towards finishing all of his paragraph summaries.

Marcel and I discussed the vocabulary for which he is responsible from the story. We then also discussed some of the difference in formatting between high school and college level tests.

He was given an example of what some college level tests may look like and the drawbacks and benefits that are offered as well.

Alex and I worked together on preparing him for an impending test.

We worked on vocabulary first. We then tackled relative pronouns as they were identified as a high priority in a previous session.

We finished by working on the vocabulary again. Alex was instructed to stay in the room after my time with him had ended to continue to study in the manner that we had used during our session.

The first item on our agenda was to check Marcel’s homework for completeness.

He earned a 100% on his homework.

Additionally, he earned some extra credit for finding a way to genuinely access Spanish through shows on tennis.

We then read two pages of our story. Marcel was then responsible for working on his paragraph summaries.

Alex came to me for help with a make-up work packet and preparing for a test.

We started by working on vocabulary. I then printed him a copy of his vocabulary for the chapter.

We then worked on the packet his teacher provided. He was instructed to work on his section independently. Then, I graded the section and answered questions or helped to understand why some answers may be preferred.

He was asked to rank his confidence level in each section before it was graded so that he would know on which sections to focus his studying attention.

Marcel started the class by reading the sections that we had prepared for in our prior session.

He then identified two pages worth of vocabulary words to learn. This is an accelerated pace. We continue to pick up pace as Marcel's capacity increases.
