20 minutes - we checked the homework - verb conjugations in the data folder. Corrections and completions were made. The grammar entries were then used with today’s classwork. Abby read Chapter 5 of Phantom of the Opera in French. She translated and identified grammar constructions and idiomatic phrases. She added words to her word bank. She used the verb conjugations from her data folder to assist with the translation. At the end of Chapter 5 she answered the 30 questions. She did very well.

Today’s lesson was skyped. Abby created a data folder to retain grammar lessons pertinent to her learning style. We began with Abby creating a page of 10 irregular verbs to be written out in the present tense and translated. She then put these 10 verbs into the imperfect, future and conditional tenses. These verbs were chosen as they are the 10 most repeated verbs in the short story she is now reading. I assisted as she completed the assignment.
