We reviewed his spelling words and went over his homework assignment for tonight. He completed a crossword activity using words that made the oo sounds. He wrote sentences using his Wordly Wise words.

This morning, Dane began by independently completing a warm-up on writing decimals as fractions, rounding, elapsed time, naming points on a coordinate grid, long division, and word problems. Our lesson focused on how to classify triangles by either their sides or their angles with Dane naming given triangles. Then, we worked on the last few questions of the cumulative review packet which consisted of reading line plots, adding mixed numbers, and classifying triangles. After each question, Dane was able to throw the basketball for an attempt at a basket.

Dane and I worked together to continue painting the interior walls of his display case.

Dane began with his daily warm-up, working independently, on naming fractions as decimals, choosing the correct operation to make equations true, adding decimals, numbers in expanded form, and long division problems. Then, we continued to work together on cumulative review questions on equivalent fractions on a number line, naming angles, multi-digit multiplication, multi-step decimal word problems, and fractions.

We watched a video on different body systems. We then learned specifically about the nervous system. We tested our reaction speed with a falling ruler experiment.

Dane learned to write the letter k in cursive using the words kiss, quick, and ticket. His breakfast was delivered, so we took a few minutes for him to eat. He completed an activity with his new Wordly Wise words, putting them into ABC order while reciting their definitions. He wrote a summary for chapter 7 of, "The Indian in the Cupboard."

Dane worked from home today so we focused our time on the entire box of multiplication flashcards. Dane went through 169 flashcards and only missed 15. Of the 15 missed cards, he was able to answer 10 correctly on the second attempt. He has worked hard with mastering these facts which will make future work with division, fractions, and more complex mathematical computations much easier.

Dane was online today and did a great job with his lessons! He took his spelling test and made a 100%. He took his Wordly Wise test and made a100%. He wrote a summary for chapter 6 and 7 of, "The Indian in the Cupboard." We listened to chapters 6 and 7, then discussed the story details before he wrote a summary for each chapter.

Dane and I began with the multiplication flashcards, which he is becoming more proficient with and only has a few left to master. Then, we reviewed last night's homework on naming fractions as decimals, converting time and money, long division, and multiplying by multiples of 100. We spent the remainder of the time answering cumulative review questions on pattern rules, finding the missing side length when given the total perimeter, adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators, and long division.
