Essay Writing
Lesson Outline
For our final exam on the novel,Atticus is working on a literary essay addressing societal responses to evil in the context of "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas." We reviewed the outline we prepared yesterday , and I then provided instruction on what to include in the introduction including the novel's name, author ,and genre, an introduction to the characters who will be discussed, and a thesis statement. With some assistance, Atticus drafted a good first draft of an introduction paragraph per our class instruction. We will continue tomorrow by drafting a second paragraph that incorporates textual support for the thesis.
