Luke seen in room for 45-minute treatment session. Focus of treatment on improving and strengthening his emotional intelligence/self-regulation, improved attention/participation in both preferred and non-preferred task, bilateral coordination, refinement of visual motor skills/graphomotor development, fine motor precision, and sensory processing.Began session with "How Do I Feel Today/" check in worksheet. Again, Luke said good and happy. He has been having improved self regulatory behavior this school year and seems happier. Today he was interested in talking about emotion when OT brought out an Inside Out character worksheet. Luke saw Inside Out 2 over the summer and was talking about the new emotions that were in the movie. Luke seems more accepting about talking about emotions this school year which is going to make working on self-regulations so much more effective. The emotions in Inside Out 2 that we discussed today were Anxiety, Boredom, Embarrassment, Envy, Nostalgia, Joy, Disgust, Anger, and Sadness. We worked on fine motor precision through a maze worksheet and bilateral coordination with an obstacle course outside. Good session.

Began session with "How do you feel today?" check in worksheet. Luke said he felt happy. He continues to have a runny nose. Needs assistance and reminders to manage his runny nose. Continued treatment with graphomotor development by writing words to describe a picture. Today Luke asked to write on his dry erase board. He continued fine motor precision practice with a maze worksheet and required reminders to stay within the lines and not to take short cuts when solving the maze today. Lastly, worked outside on bilateral coordination skills. Good session.
Assignment
Continue to work on performing skills like jumping jacks and assymmetrical stride jumps at home

Began treatment with a "How Do I Feel Today?" check in worksheet. Luke has been feeling happy and today he felt happy again. Luke did appear to have a stuffy/runny nose during today's session. Continued therapy in his room working on whole body listening and following multiple step directions to improve auditory processing abilities. Luke was given one direction at at time and was able to correctly complete 3/4 directions. Continued session working on fine motor precision skills and had Luke participate in maze worksheets. Lastly, worked on graphomotor skills. Luke was able to write six words to describe a picture. He mixed some uppercase letters with lowercase letter when writing and needed to be reminded to write using lowercase letters. Today, OT brought a sensory seat for him to try. He would also benefit from a visual timer in his room to help focus his attention on non-preferred, teacher-directed tasks.
Assignment
Continue to practice writing words and short sentences independently
Luke was absent this morning. I was scheduled to see him twice, but agreed to see David for a session, so I just put in minutes for one session for Luke.
