Inferring and Assessments
Lesson Outline
Patrick and I spent some time this morning organizing his classroom. His backpack has some things he wanted to take home:) Next we played Guess Who to warm up with inferencing. Patrick did an excellent job using inferencing vocabulary to make his guesses. Then he reread Frog is Hungry. After that Patrick read sentences based on the book to identify nouns and verbs within sentences. He was successful. We discussed how all sentences need to have a noun and a verb. Then Patrick took a 5 word spelling assessment on /ow/words. He spelled 4/5 correctly. Lastly, we started a new read aloud Invisible Stanley.

Keyboarding/ FF/LB
Lesson Outline
Today Patrick in Keyboarding and LB, Patrick completed one module and used the rest of his session to type a writing piece that he had constructed. Patrick reread his story and made a few modifications. This took a lot of time to type, as Patrick does not give himself enough credit. He has been looking at the keyboard, and I try to tell him that his fingers know what to type now without peeking. Patrick was able to complete his first paragraph and begin another. In FF, Patrick continued his program.
